Whitney & Tom got married on probably a day when the weather and lighting changed the most times during an 8-hour day! From moody cloudy skies in the morning to beautiful bright sunshine during their ceremony, and then back to rainy clouds in the evening, it was like having all of New England weather in one day! But we were up for the challenge.

Whitney & Tom live in NJ and got engaged in Hoboken where they met. We had the privilege to actually go out there with them and explore their neighborhood before the wedding. It was absolutely perfect. From every cuisine imaginable to a small little Italian festival happening right near the park Tom proposed. We got to experience Hoboken and its vibe perfectly before their big day back in Newport.

Newport Vineyards set the scene for the day with beautiful florals from the incredible Leslie Lee. Hair & Makeup by The Traveler Beauty Co. and entertainment by Unique Sounds! Literally, everything came together perfectly and we can’t wait to share a sneak peek of their day with you all.

Micaela + Andy weren’t just clients for us. They felt like family.

Last year we photographed Andy’s sister’s wedding…and even before that, we knew Andy’s brother Will from years back when he taught Ryan in high school! Crazy right?! Photographing Andy & Micaela felt like we were just at one of our best friends wedding. We knew everyone and everyone knew us. We had a bunch of laughs, endless inside jokes, and so much fun we seriously didn’t want to leave at the end of the night. To top it all off, they were at our favorite venue @newportvines.

Although the day was a little misty, that just meant we had the entire beach to ourselves and it was so dreamy 😍. A lot of folks don’t realize that cloudy days are sometimes better than bright sunny ones. And you know what they say, if it 🌧 on your wedding day, it’s good luck, right?

Either way, these two don’t need any luck. They’re already so perfect, so “sweet” (inside joke) and I have no doubt that their love is endless for one another.

Colette + Nick spent the day with us at one of our favorite venues in Rhode island, Newport Vineyards. We had an absolute blast with them and cannot wait to show you the rest of the gallery. For now, enjoy this little sneak peek featuring some of our favorites from their big day!

Meet: Colette + Nick

Last year when COVID hit, Brianna & Justin didn’t let anything stop them. They gathered their friends and family in a small local, and safe setting by a park nearby their house and said “I do”. So this year, when a literal tropical storm threatened their big day, they didn’t even let it phase them. In fact, they told me they heard a rumor that if it’s suppose to rain on your wedding that you go around and but rosary beads around your house’s yard, your venue, and even your hotel, and the Lord above will grant you beautiful weather….and let me tell you - IT WORKED! It was literally raining cats & dogs while I was driving to Newport for Brianna & Justin’s big day and just when I pulled up, the rain stopped, the clouds disappeared and it was a beautiful summer day in the ocean state.

This just goes to show you that these two are ready to go through any storm, any battle, any PANDEMIC together, as one. They are some of the sweetest people we’ve ever met, and are so caring, loving, and kind. We had an absolute blast heading back to our favorite venue (Newport Vineyards) and hanging out with the staff there after what seemed like a lifetime thanks to COVID.

I cannot wait to share Jackie & Josh’s beautiful day with you all! I got to know these two over the past year. We bonded after their incredible Lovebird Session and if I remember correctly, they showed me my new favorite restaurant in Newport, Winner Winner (which, side note, has the BEST fried chicken in the state. You HAVE to try it). We quickly became friends and counted the days down to their big day at the vineyard. The day of couldn’t have been better. With cloudy overcast skies, cool september weather and their fun, laid back, “folk fest” theme to the day, you could say it was one of our favorite this past month.

Planning a wedding is hard work. Now imagine doing it across the country 3,000 miles away. That’s what Megan & Robbie had to do. Plan a Newport wedding while live and work across the country in CA. Luckily they had their incredible parents to rely on to help find vendors, choose last-minute details and more. We were so happy that Megan’s mom, Wendy contacted us. It feels like just yesterday when we were all meeting at the Starbucks in Newport in December of 2018. Gosh! I can’t believe it’s been a year and we’re here already.

Megan & Robbie celebrated at the incredible Newport Vineyards, surrounded by their closest family and friends. We got to experience their weekend first hand. Wendy invited us to their rehearsal dinner hosted at their amazing Newport home, and we were quickly welcomed in like family. After getting to know Megan, Wendy, Robbie and Gordon over the past year we felt so connected to this group of people that when it came time to actually photograph them all, it was like photographing our best friends we’ve known our whole life.

I cannot wait to share this sneak peek with you. From Megan’s getting ready and Wendy crying to Wendy’s speech and me balling my eyes out (not pictured haha)…this wedding was filled with tears, love, and happiness. We’re so excited to share a sneak peek into their special day.

Everyone knows that our absolute favorite venue to head to is Newport Vineyards. And no, it’s not because their wine is ABSOLUTELY our favoriter (we’re actually having their wine exclusively at our wedding) but it’s because of the incredible team, paired with the absolutely gorgeous vineyard views. You feel like you’re up in the mountains in Southern California yet you’re seconds from Newport Beach. I am so excited to share with you Alisa & Andrea’s day and our first wedding at the vineyard for 2018! We had an absolute incredible time with them and their insanely funny wedding party. In all seriousness, I don’t think I’ve laughed and had this much fun at a wedding in AWHILE! These guys seriously knew how to throw a party. Pooping faces included ;)

Every year we have a handful of couples that truly stand out above the rest. Couples that not only fall in love with our photographs but become true friends to Jenn and I. They’re usually the laid back type, the adventurous duo and are always up for a cup of coffee, lunch or dinner with us. Emily & Warren are definitely apart of that group. From the first breakfast date with them, I knew we’d be amazing friends. We shared a love for traveling, adventures, food, and so much more. When it became time to photograph their wedding day, I knew it was going to be perfect and boy, it sure was…

Emily & Warren got married at the amazing Newport Vineyards which combined their love for wine, and Rhode Island all in one. It turned out to be one of the best weather days we could’ve asked for with cloudy skies and cooler temps. It was a little rainy at the beginning portion of the day but as soon as the ceremony time came, the showers had passed and it was beautiful.

These photos mean a lot to me. Not only because Emily & Warren are client’s of ours, but because they’re client turned friends. I had such a hard time choosing specific edits to give them and really perfecting the photographs down to every last detail. However, I think you’ll see that these two are madly in love, and are perfect for one another. I can’t wait to show you more…but for now, enjoy these sneak peeks!

Aubrey & Luke's wedding was absolutely fantastic. Set in the absolutely stunning Newport Vineyards (and maybe one of our favorite venues) we couldn't have asked for a better couple, venue, and wedding day! The weather was a blazing 95 degrees, the sun was out and you know what? I was just happy it didn't rain! I had so much fun getting to know these two over the past year. I remember when we photographed their Lovebird session at 5am in Newport. Seeing them smiling all day from ear to ear and really taking in every single moment was one of my favorite parts of the day. We walked away with some amazing images and in all honestly, there's so much more I wanted to show off! But for now we have a little sneak peek into their vineyard wedding below. What can I not say about Jessica & Nick? When Jess & Nick first contacted me, we immediately clicked on the phone and it felt like we’ve been best friends ever since. From their engagement shoot at Coppa, to multiple talks over the phone, and even an invitation to join them for their cake tasting (which oh em gee, it was amazing) I was so ecstatic to finally be able to photograph these two amazing people on a day where we celebrated them and their love.

I get close to my couples. But every year or so there’s always one couple that I tend to become bff’s with, the couple that not only hires me because I do great work, but because they know we’d make best friends. The couple that actually doesn’t mind getting together for dinner or drinks as a matter of fact, they’re excited too. They don’t just think I’m their photographer. They’re just as invested in me as I am with them. This year Nick & Jess was that couple.

I can go off for hours and tell you how their love story went but, I think the photos will speak for themselves. Instead I’d rather tell you what these two mean to me: I’ve never felt more cared for or loved by a couple. Jessica & Nick, you both are the most loving, selfless, and caring people I know. Throughout our whole process you loved hearing more about Jenn & I’s adventures than about your wedding. You sat with me and helped me plan out our engagement, you comforted me when I was worried to call Jenn’s mom, and you were there for us as soon as we got back from our trip, excited to hear about our adventures even though your wedding was a week away. You have cared more about me than any other couple has in all my years of photographing. You made me feel loved. You made me feel special, and you made me feel like your best friend. To be honest, I needed you more than you needed me. I cried when you were reading your vows to one another, during your first dance, and during your toasts. Your family and friends agree that you two are the most selfless people they know as well. You are always there for everyone around you and never questioning it. In this past year, I have seen it over and over again. So instead of you two thanking me for documenting your story, let me be the first to say thank YOU for allowing me to get to know such amazing, genuine, beautiful people. Thank YOU for allowing ME to capture and document this journey together. And thank you for always being there for me. Even if we’ve only known each other for a year now…I have a feeling we’re going to be best friends for a lifetime.

Well the time has finally come! It’s 2018 and the wedding season has begun. We couldn’t be happier that we started the season off with this beautiful couple at one of our favorite venues, Newport Vineyards.

Hilary & Chris choose to have an intimate wedding with 60 of their closest family and friends. Their day couldn’t have gone any smoother. The weather held up, the reception rocked and the photos came out stunning.
