Gina + Cody threw an beautiful October wedding! We love fall weddings because it’s soooo different from the summer weddings. Your ceremony is usually right at sunset, your photos outside under string lights, and indoors..it just presents us with a totally different vibe compared to the summer weddings in Newport.
Gina + Cody couldn’t have asked for a better night. Beyond the beautiful Row Hotel, and the church, we were able to sneak them outside for a few shots around the plaza and boy did they turn out magical. Gina, Cody and their family and friends were beyond amazing! Thank you all for making this day a dream come true for the couple, and for our team!

This is a blog post we’ve been waiting to write up for years!! Literally years in the making! Courtney invested in us and had her high school senior portrait taken by us all the way back in the early years of Willow (back when we were still called Ryan DeVoll Photography) and since then, we’ve followed her, and her family every step of the way leading to this moment: her wedding. Back when we started Willow, we started it with 2 ideas in mind. One: that we get to know each and every client on a personal level so that way we’re more like friends rather than family and two: that we don’t treat every wedding like a cookie cutter wedding. This couldn’t have come more full circle for us when it came to Courtney & Rigoberto’s day. Over the last 10ish years we’ve gotten to know Courtney, and she quickly became more of a friend than a “client” and meeting Rigoberto made us smile from ear-to-ear like a family member meeting him for the first time. We could tell from the first meeting with him that he just wanted to make sure his bride got the wedding day she deserves, and on the day of, they were both giggling and smiling all night long. You can tell Courtney definitely brings out the best of Rigoberto and vise versa.
All of this to say that it was an absolute pleasure to document yet another important part to Courtney’s story. We can’t wait to see these two grow and their story to now become one and continue to unfold.

Meghan + Nick’s June wedding was absolutely beautiful. The Codman Estate set the backdrop for the most beautiful summer weddings anyone would ask for. Gorgeous weather for this incredible couple made the day complete! Megan’s attention to detail made everything go by seamlessly. We had a blast documenting the photo & video for this classy couple. It’s not every day you get to be on a property that was the hottest place to be in 1799. The grounds were absolutely stunning. The one thing that stuck out to us the most from this day was the wedding party. When folks ask us what the biggest party we’ve documented is…this definitely tops the cake. They were all so supportive of Meghan + Nick and so loving. Everyone close to them was involved from the get-go. Ahhhh! Finally! We are so excited to share with you Diana + Kirsten’s long awaited wedding! After being postponed in 2020, these two lovebirds decided COVID wasn’t going to stop them. They reached out to us, and felt so comfortable with Jenn and I that they actually wanted one of us to officiate an elopement so they can be “officially” be married in 2020. The elopement was so special that we knew that come 2021, their wedding would be just as magical. Well, the time finally came and it was more than magical, it was EPIC. Everyone knows that our absolute favorite venue to head to is Newport Vineyards. And no, it’s not because their wine is ABSOLUTELY our favoriter (we’re actually having their wine exclusively at our wedding) but it’s because of the incredible team, paired with the absolutely gorgeous vineyard views. You feel like you’re up in the mountains in Southern California yet you’re seconds from Newport Beach. I am so excited to share with you Alisa & Andrea’s day and our first wedding at the vineyard for 2018! We had an absolute incredible time with them and their insanely funny wedding party. Here we are folks...The last wedding of 2017. Jenn and I can't thank all of the amazing couples, families and friends that we had the honor to photograph this year. Without you, this ship would've sank a long time ago. Your love stories are what keeps me going. We still have some lovebird sessions to post but we wrapped up the wedding season with Molly & Brian and their AMAZING, down right awesome wedding party. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better couple to close out the season. This wedding had it ALL! Molly & Brian met at Providence College and it was just the perfect spot to them bring them back full circle and get married. Marring your love one where you once met all those years ago seriously made the day feel magical. I had no idea Providence College was so beautiful! Their church on campus made for the ceremony's beautiful photos and PC's draw dropping campus made for stunning photos of Molly & Brian! After tying the knot we headed to Metacomet Country Club where we were blown away with beautiful fall views of their golf corse. The staff at Metacomet was so accommodating to our team that I honestly can't thank them enough! Molly & Brian's band choice, Young Love and the Thrills blew the roof off during the reception and had EVERYONE on the dance floor all night. At one point, Brian's mom even tied together some napkins and made a giant jump rope and had everyone join in. Although I wanted to include every single photo from their day, I had to cut back just a bit for now.
It's weddings like Molly & Brian's that make me love what I do. I hope you enjoy these sneak peeks.

There are times in this industry where we meet clients and we just know right off the batt that we're going to be best of friends with them afterwards. Not because they love our work, not because they love who we are but because we just click together. When I met Rachel & Brad, I knew that we would be the best friends and that their wedding would be nothing short of magical. Boy was I right.
To the day of where we started the day photographing Rachel getting ready in The Biltmore's suite, to their amazing and breathtaking first look, and their ballroom, black tie reception - Everything was absolutely perfect. These two seriously know how to throw a party. Everyone was on the dance floor that night! Their band Decades by Dezyne, gave us the best music to groove to. I'm pretty sure I was shaking my booty in the corner all night.
Not only did Rachel & Brad know how to throw a good party but they we're amazing friends throughout this whole experience. This past weekend Jenn and I had a family emergency come up and Rachel was sure to text me today and make sure everything was ok. Its clients like Rachel & Brad that make me smile and happy to do this. Thank you both for such an amazing time, for being loving, kind and caring and for choosing us to capture your special day.

Anthony, Amanda and I met last summer and instantly clicked. I remember when I walked them out of our apartment, I got a phone call 5 min later from Amanda (who was still in our parking lot) She said "Yeah, I love you and don't want anyone else to photograph our day" . I smiled from ear to ear. These two were amazing to get to know over the course of a year. Their wedding was nothing short of that either. The rain might've forced us to have the ceremony inside, but we did manage to sneak outside to take some beautiful photos. After 9 years, these two finally tied the knot and I had the absolute honor to photograph their day. Brittany is a my cousin. Growing up, we spent all the holidays together, all the summer days at grandma's pool and all the nights where we designed MySpace templates together. We've seen each other grow up, mature and had each had our fair share in relationship troubles...until she met Tom. Tom is one of the most respectful, down to earth, and kindest people I've ever met. From that moment on, I knew these two would be inseparable. I would have NEVER guessed that I'd be the one to photograph their entire relationship. When they got together back in high school and needed some prom photos, they called me. When I needed a couple's photo for my college portfolio, I called them. 2 years ago when Tom popped the question, Brittany wanted nobody else besides me to be their wedding photographer. Just like Brittany and I watched each other grow up, I saw this couple grow. From prom photos, to a random session a year or two later, to their lovebird session and today...their wedding. This is why I do this. To tell a story. To tell THEIR STORY.
Their day was nothing but fun. I'm not going to lie - Photographing a family member's wedding makes me even more stressed. You know everyone there, there's a ton of pressure on you to nail it even more than usual and you're worried about them judging you! Admit it. However, that being said I had a blast. Knowing everyone there made the day go by so smoothly, being able to be myself instead of being in "work mode" as Jenn calls it, made me less stressed and just being able to be a guest at their wedding too, and not just the hired help was especially nice. I had the best time during the reception. Let's just say there was a certain wedding party member with some awesome dance moves. He fell in love with the tray table at one point (photo below) and maybe even twerked a bit. I was in tears from laughing.

Ashley & Wale seem like amazing best friends of mine rather than clients. These two are some of the sweetest, kindest and most appreciative people I've ever met. As soon as I met them I couldn't wait to photograph them. From our cold wintery day just over a year ago when we had a blast in their neck of the woods - to just little over a month ago at their wedding where there was a ton of dancing, lots of amazing photos, and lots and lots of laughs. Heck, I even joined them on the dance floor to showcase my awesome two step at one point. That one got a lot of laughs.

99% of my clients find me through social media, the Knot, or even through Google. However Elizabeth & Matt are with the other 1% of couples. Liz first saw my work when I photographed her friend Alyce back in 2014. Alyce & Josh's wedding is recognized with all of my couples. It's one of my favorites! Julianne (another bride of mine) also found me through Alyce & Josh's photos. Who would have thought that they would all know one another? Alyce knew Liz, who knew Julianne and BAM! We have our first wedding where all three of our clients are in one room. What a small world! With that being said, Elizabeth & Matt knew right away who was going to be there on their wedding day to photograph them. Once they met with me, I was ecstatic for their day.
Although it was a cold and rainy day, Liz & Matt braved through it all and were great sports. They even ditched the umbrellas at one point! I had an awesome time either way. Looking back at these photos I'm reminded of how much fun we had that night. These two seriously know how to throw a great party.

And last but definitely not least, my personal favorite, and one of the best rain wedding photos I've taken to date:
I have a confession to make...At almost every wedding, I cry a little bit. But the story I'm about to tell you, may have you crying before the end of it. I try as a photographer to be in the moment 100% of the time. That means I'm experiencing the same happiness, sadness, sometimes stressfulness of my couples. With Annie & Chris, this was no different.
On a cold, rainy September day, Annie & Chris woke up ready for their beautiful Newport wedding planned. However, when they woke up to rain, as most of you could imagine, it wasn't what they expected. They still embraced the day with happiness & joy like they've always done in their relationship and with life. Much like their wedding day Annie & Chris had everything planned out for their life up until April of this past year when Annie found out she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. As unexpected as that was, they pushed forward with planning their big day and all the adventures ahead. Annie had surgery in May and started chemotherapy in June. Smack dab in the middle of all this, was their wedding in September. When I reached out to Annie & Chris to plan our final get together before their big day, she told me she had "something very important to tell me" I couldn't have even imagined that she would say "I have breast cancer".
Photography is more important than we know it. Sometimes people think all I do is "take pictures" however, it's so much deeper. I got a little teary eyed when Annie & Chris sat down with me for their meeting. I couldn't help but remember my papa, who passed away from cancer just a few years ago. I couldn't help but wish that I had more photographs with him, and of him. For all I knew, Annie & Chris's wedding pictures could be their only professional photos they would have of one another. It's a huge responsibility as it is, however, with the circumstances, it was even bigger. I remember getting in the car with Jenn on the way to Newport that day and I looked over and said "This is the most important wedding we have this year."
As you can imagine, their day went off without a hitch! Sure, it rained, it poured. But that didn't stop us. We embraced each and every minute of it. Exploring Newport in the rain is quite the adventure.
My favorite part of the whole day was when Annie's sister, Rachel gave her speech. Beyond being hilarious, her speech would go down for the best Maid of Honor speech I've ever heard. Towards the end, Rachel said something along the lines of: "Now, everyone here has been inspired by Annie and her amazing positivity, strength and courage but rather than pass the mic around and tell her, why don't we show her?" and everyone threw up signs of funny phases about breast cancer, inspirational quotes from Annie, or just messages to her. I broke down in tears. I apologize to Rachel, Annie, and their family in advance. The photos are a tad blurry because I was shaking and so overwhelmed with emotion. I'm a big baby. I knew it was coming and I still cried!
To Annie & Chris, thank you. Thank you for allowing me out of all people to photograph your big day. I know when choosing a photographer you look at prices, photos, websites, whats included, and that sometimes influences your choice, but besides all that - You guys choose me. You allowed me to capture your story, your next chapter in a beautiful, documentary style way. You became friends of mine rather than clients, and your photos, and your story became some of my favorite of all time.
Thank you to Annie's doctor Valerie Fein-Zachary, who without her and her amazing team, Annie & Chris could have had a much tougher road than expected.
You'll be happy to know that Annie is fully 100% out of chemotherapy and is on the road to recovery. I hope this brightens up her day as much as she's brightened up my life.
You inspire me Annie & Chris. For that, I am forever grateful.

XuanMai and Joseph's day couldn't have gotten any better. It wasn't too hot and not too cold. Pinehills Country Club in Plymouth, MA set the absolute perfect backdrop to what has to be my favorite ceremony spot this year. Normally I would choose a venue that's a little off the beaten path, however XuanMai & Joe's wedding felt like it was in the middle of the woods vs. at a regular ol' country club.
